Materials & Capabilities

Everything we cut, the machine we use, and the tolerances you can count on.

Materials

What We Cut

We work with a focused set of materials — ones we know inside and out. Every material behaves differently under the router, and we dial in feeds, speeds, and toolpaths accordingly.

HDPE

High-Density Polyethylene

Our most-used material. HDPE is waterproof, chemical-resistant, and virtually maintenance-free — ideal for marine environments, food-service applications, and outdoor use. It machines cleanly and holds tight tolerances.

Marine Outdoor Tool Organizers Food Safe

Hardwood

Oak, Walnut, Maple, and More

Solid hardwoods for furniture parts, signage, and custom pieces that need warmth and character. We can engrave, profile, and pocket-cut hardwood with clean results. Species selection depends on project requirements.

Plywood

Marine Ply, MDO, Standard Sheet

The workhorse for flat-pack furniture, shelving, and structural panels. Baltic birch cuts cleanly with minimal tearout. Marine-grade ply for wet environments. MDO for exterior signage and painted parts.

Flat-Pack Shelving Panels Signage

Acrylic

Cast Acrylic / Plexiglass

Excellent for backlit signage, display panels, and decorative parts. Cast acrylic produces cleaner edges than extruded. Available in clear, frosted, and a wide range of colors. Polished edges available on request.

G10 / Garolite

Fiberglass Laminate

G10 is a glass-epoxy laminate used where strength and dimensional stability matter in harsh conditions. Excellent for marine electrical panels, switch panels, and structural brackets. Machines similarly to HDPE but stiffer.

Marine Panels Electrical Structural

Carbon Fiber

Sheet / Laminate

Carbon fiber sheet for lightweight, high-strength parts. Requires careful toolpath planning and dust extraction — we take it seriously. Best for custom automotive, marine, and specialty instrument panels where weight matters.

The Equipment

We run a CAMaster Cobra CR-510 ATC — a professional-grade CNC router with automatic tool changing. Toolpaths are designed in Vectric Aspire, which allows complex 3D carving, nesting, and precision profiling.

Machine CAMaster Cobra CR-510 ATC
Bed Size 60" × 120" (5 ft × 10 ft) — handles full sheets
Tool Changing Automatic Tool Changer (ATC) — multiple bits, one run
Spindle High-frequency spindle with variable RPM
Software Vectric Aspire — 2D profiling, pocketing, V-carving, 3D relief
Positioning Ball-screw drive on all axes
Dust Collection Integrated — required for composites and fine materials
Tolerances & Precision

What to Expect

CNC routing tolerances depend on material, thickness, tooling, and fixturing. Here's what we hold in normal production conditions.

Positional Accuracy ±0.005" (±0.127 mm) — typical for well-fixtured parts
Repeatability ±0.003" run to run in the same setup
Edge Quality Machine finish — smooth with light toolmarks. Sanding or finishing available on request.
Minimum Feature Size ~1/8" slots and inside radii (tooling dependent)
Maximum Sheet Size Up to 60" × 120" in a single setup
Maximum Cut Depth ~4" Z-axis travel (material-dependent)
File Formats Accepted DXF, DWG, SVG, STEP, STL, PDF — vector or 3D solid
What We Make

Common Use Cases

Marine Hardware
Cooler chocks, boat cleats, dock accessories, swim platforms, and custom marine brackets — primarily in HDPE and G10 for UV and saltwater resistance.
Switch & Instrument Panels
Dashboard panels for boats and classic cars in G10, carbon fiber, or HDPE. Precisely cut openings for gauges, switches, and connectors.
Tool Organizers
HDPE tool holders, pegboard panels, and storage systems for tool retailers, marine shops, and contractors. Designed for long-term retail display durability.
Flat-Pack Furniture
Plywood shelving, storage units, and knock-down furniture with precision-fit joinery. Easy to ship flat and assemble on-site.
Signage
Dimensional signs in hardwood, HDU, or acrylic. V-carved lettering, layered builds, or router-cut profiles. Indoor and outdoor options available.
Custom & Prototype Parts
One-offs and short runs for product development, engineering prototypes, and specialty components. Send a DXF or sketch and we'll figure it out together.
Wholesale Production
Production runs of 25–500+ units per SKU for retailers, distributors, and brand owners. Consistent nesting, consistent finish, consistent output.
From File to Finished Part

Our Process

1
Send Your File or Idea

DXF, DWG, STEP, STL, PDF, or a rough sketch. We'll review it and confirm we can cut it. No CAD? Describe what you need and we'll build the file.

2
Quote & Material Selection

We quote based on material, cut time, quantity, and any finishing required. You'll get a breakdown — no hidden fees. We'll recommend the right material if you're unsure.

3
Approval & Deposit

Once you approve the quote, we collect a deposit and schedule your job. Custom and prototype orders typically require 50% upfront.

4
Machining & QC

Parts are cut, inspected, and cleaned. We photograph production runs. If something's not right, we re-cut before it ships.

5
Delivery

Ship anywhere in the US, or pick up locally in North Charleston, SC. Local delivery available for large orders.
